¯ The Marietta Earth Day Celebration will sponsor a “Hard to recycle materials” event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the People’s Bank parking lot near the Putnam Street bridge. ¯ Hervida 4-H Camp Chicken BBQ and Country Store will be held from 4:30-7 p.m. May 1 at Camp Hervida, 958 Stevens Road, Waterford. Meals are available in the mess hall or as pick-up carry-out and include 1/4 or 1/2 chicken, a baked potato, coleslaw, green beans, a roll, dessert, and a beverage. All proceeds benefit camp improvements. Tickets are available at the door and the cost is $10 for 1/2 chicken dinner; $7 for 1/4 chicken dinner.
