¯ The July Regular meeting of the Warren Board of Education will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Operations Committee of the Warren Local Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Both meetings will be held at the Warren Local Administration Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent.

¯ The SouthEastern Ohio Joint Solid Waste Management District Policy Advisory Committee will hold a meeting at noon Wednesday at Lori’s Family Restaurant, 17020 McConnelsville Road, Caldwell.

¯ Area 15 Workforce Development Board Members from Monroe, Morgan, Noble and Washington Counties will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 2 at Lori’s Restaurant, 17020 McConnelsville Road, Caldwell. The Boards of County Commissioners from Monroe, Morgan, Noble, and Washington Counties have scheduled an Area 15 Council of Governments Meeting the same day to follow at noon at Lori’s Restaurant.

¯ Grandview Township will hold 2021 regular meetings at 6 p.m. the first Monday of each month at the township hall. The following months will be held on different dates: Sept. 13. These meetings will also be held at 6 p.m.

¯ The Marietta High School Class of 1955 has resumed luncheon meetings at 11:30 a.m. the second Monday of each month at the Harmar Tavern, 205 Maple St. All classmates and friends welcome.

¯ Liberty Township will hold 2021 regular monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month.

¯ Decatur Township will hold its monthly public meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the township building on Welch Road in Cutler.

¯ Lawrence Township will meet at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Department.

¯ Ludlow Township will hold regular monthly meetings the last day of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.


¯ The Children’s Toy and Doll Museum Yard Sale Fundraiser originally scheduled for July 17 has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The museum is located at 206 Gilman Ave. in Marietta.

¯ A Bingo Fundraiser will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Barlow Fairgrounds. Lunch will be available at 11 a.m. All proceeds from bingo and lunch support the Washington County Homeless Project’s Drop-in Center for Homeless.

¯ The Reno Vol. Fire Dept. will hold an ice cream social at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Reno Community Center, 260 Sandhill Road, Reno. Donations of pies and cakes are needed; no cream pies due to health department regulations. Items may be dropped off at the community center the evening of July 23 and the morning of July 24. ¯ Bethel Lighthouse Church, 5570 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, will host “Mystery Island” Vacation Bible School for children of all ages. Kick-off will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday and the VBS program will be held July 26-30. Pre-registration is recommended and can be done by attending the kick-off “Fun-in-the-Sun” Carnival Sunday or by calling VBS Director Vickie Hendershot at 740-525-2514.

¯ The Parr Hill Community Yard Sale located on SR 7 in Beavertown (10 miles north of Newport) will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 29-31.

¯ First Presbyterian Church of 501 Fourth St., Marietta, will offer a free drive thru meal from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Enter through the church parking lot off the alley from Wooster street.

¯ Wolfepack Gym at 280 Goose Run Road in Marietta will host a Women’s Lifting Clinic from 10 a.m. to noon July 31. ¯ Cutler Chapel UMC, located at 11078 Veto Road in Belpre, will hold its annual homecoming Aug. 1. A worship service will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., a meal at noon, and a program featuring the Clark family at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome.

¯ A pancake breakfast benefit will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 7 for Myah, a 12 year old girl facing spinal cord and brain surgery for Chiari malformation. ¯ Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Dept. will hold its annual social and barbecue chicken dinner beginning at 4 p.m. Aug. 7. The menu will include pizza, hot dogs, pies, cakes, lemon shakes and other drinks. The event will include inflatables, barrel rides, bingo, raffles and live music by Phase 2.

¯ Dally Memorial Library will host its third bluegrass music event for the summer Aug. 14. Shortline Junction will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sardis Community Center. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase starting at 6 p.m. All proceeds benefit the privately funded Dally Memorial Library.

¯ The 40th Wendell and Catherine Offenberger Reunion will be held at noon Aug. 15 at Our Lady of Mercy Social Hall in Lowell. ¯ The Washington County Republican Party will hold its Inaugural Golf Scramble Aug. 27 at Lakeside Golf Course in Beverly. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Four-person scramble/$300 per team. Package includes greens fees, cart, skins, refreshments and steak dinner. ¯ The Warren High School Class of 1981 40th Reunion will be held Sept. 3-4. A mixer at The Galley will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 3. A tour of the new high school and dinner/cruise on the Valley Gem will be held Sept. 4. The cost for the dinner/cruise is $45 per person.
