Hydrant flushing in the Devola area this week

The Devola Volunteer Fire Department and water department personnel will be flushing hydrants in the Devola area this week. Residents could experience a sudden loss of pressure or discolored water. Flush taps until all air has escaped or the water has returned to its natural state.

Community Baby Bash will be held on May 4

Washington County Family & Children First’s Help Me Grow Early Intervention Program will sponsor a Community Baby Bash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 4 at the K of C Hall, 312 Franklin St., Marietta. The event is free and will feature local vendors and community resources, car seat checks, mommy massages, story time corner, door prizes and food.

Spring Fling Dinner

in Fulda on April 28

St. Mary’s of Fulda will hold the annual Spring Fling Dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 28. The menu will include chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, noodles, rolls and dessert. Bingo will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and a raffle drawing will be held at 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend. St. Mary’s is located seven miles east of Caldwell, off of Ohio 564 on Fulda Road.

Professional Women’s Roundtable on April 24

The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Professional Women’s Roundtable meeting on April 24 at da Vinci’s, 215 Highland Ave., Williamstown, from noon to 1 p.m. The topic for the month will be “LinkedIn” with featured speaker Kristen Meeks, WV Social Media. Drum workshop will

be at the UU Church

The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta will host an African Drum Workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 232 Third St. in the Social Hall. Master drummer Lawrence Greene will conduct the workshop. The fee is $10; advance registration is required. Call Rev. Kat Hawbaker at 740-373-1238 or Shelley Khatib at 703-340-5502 to register.
