Friends of Lower Muskingum River will host a river clean-up for Make a Difference Day with Marietta College on Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Attendees are asked to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes, and to carpool if possible as the parking lot on the west side of Devol’s Dam is small. The lot can be found by typing “Devol’s Dam West Side” into Google Maps. Attendees are not to cross or walk on the railroad tracks under any circumstances.

HarborSite Baptist Church will celebrate its 10-year anniversary Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. with special guest speaker Ray Witmer. All are invited to join the celebration. The event will include music, preaching, a slide show and dinner on the grounds. The church will meet in the Evergreen Community Center behind Hadley Funeral Home in Reno.

The Village of Beverly Volunteer Fire Department will be testing and flushing fire hydrants in Beverly and Waterford Sept. 23 and 30. If water becomes discolored, run water until it becomes clear.

The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Professional Women’s Roundtable meeting Sept. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wildroot Flower Company, 315 Forshey Road, Marietta. The cost is $25 and includes refreshments and supplies for the event. Reservations required; those who RSVP and do not show will still be charged due to the cost and amount of food ordered. The Beverly Lions Club will hold its second Flea Market & Vendor Show at the Beverly United Methodist Church from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 12. A 5×10 space costs $10 for one day and $12 for both days. Tables are available for $5 each.
