The St. Marys Community Concert Band will resume practices at the St. Marys Marina, St. Marys W.Va., on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. Anyone is welcome to join. All instruments are needed and no tryouts are required. The band has two more concerts remaining at the marina for the 2019 season: Nov. 2 and a Christmas concert on Dec 3.

The Castle Museum will offer an in-depth tour of Marietta’s preserved mounds Sept. 28 at noon and 2 p.m. (rain or shine). Led by professional archaeologist Wes Clarke, “Marietta’s Mounds – A Closer Look” will be approximately 1.5 hours in length. Beginning at Mound Cemetery, the four principal sites preserved in Marietta will be visited, and participants will be transported by trolley. Cost is $15 and tickets can be obtained at The Castle website or by calling 740-373-4180.

The Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Professional Women’s Roundtable meeting Sept. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wildroot Flower Company, 315 Forshey Road, Marietta. The cost is $25 and includes refreshments and supplies for the event. Reservations required; those who RSVP and do not show will still be charged due to the cost and amount of food ordered. The Beverly Lions Club will hold its second Flea Market & Vendor Show at the Beverly United Methodist Church from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 12. A 5×10 space costs $10 for one day and $12 for both days. Tables are available for $5 each.
