The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Tomlinson Park in Williamstown. The Williamstown Bridge will be closed from 10 a.m. to noon. Detours may be made across the interstate bridge. There may be delays along all intersections between Tomlinson Park and the Williamstown Bridge.

A Historical Driving Tour will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The tour will include the Children’s Toy and Doll Museum, Henry Fearing House, Cider Press at Lane’s Farm Market, Churchtown Historical Society & Research Room, Christy One Room School, Oliver Tucker Museum and Straight Run One Room School House. Tickets are $10 per person and children 12 and under are free. Tickets may also be purchased at any tour location.

O’Neill Center’s annual ice cream social to support the Alzheimer’s Association will be held Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. The cost of the sundaes will be by donation only. The Tune Smiths will also play music at the event. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. For more information, call 740-373-3914.

The Marietta Friends of the Library used book sale will be open to the public Sept. 28 and 30 from 9 a.m. t o 5 p.m., and Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Customers may purchase a bag of books for $2 on Oct. 1. Members may shop Sept. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. The sale will be held at the library annex, 615 Fifth St. in Marietta. Memberships are available for half-price at the main library service desk.

American Legion Post 389 on Route 60, Beverly, will host its 10th annual Chili Cook-Off and Rally in the Alley on Sept. 28. The event will feature the ALA 16th annual Poker Run at 11 a.m., live bands, a Harley-Davidson bike raffle, spit fire BBQ, beer and more. The cook-off will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. and is free to enter. Entry forms are available at Wainwright’s Jewelry and Post.
