The Marietta City School District Board of Education will hold an executive session Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. The regular November board meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Board of Education offices, 111 Academy Drive.

The Beverly Eagles will host a fish fry Nov. 29 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $8. For carry out, call 740-984-4733.

The Research & Identification of Early Occupancy of Southern Ohio (RIEOSO) will celebrate National Native American Indian Heritage Month from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Cutler Community Center, 4550 Two Mile Run Road. The event will include native art and artifacts and discuss the journey and makeup of the Nahyssan Nation and their plans for the future.

Barlow Presbyterian Church will host a community luncheon from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today. The menu will include soup beans, chili, potato soup, crackers, peanut butter sandwiches, egg salad on croissants, a veggie tray and miscellaneous desserts. Barlow Presbyterian Church is located at Ohio 550 and Warrior Drive.

The 30th season for WMOA Radio’s Christmas Zoo will begin Nov. 29 in the window of The Workingman’s Store on Putnam Street in downtown Marietta. New stuffed animal donations can be dropped off at The Workingman’s Store, 109 Putnam St., Marietta and monetary donations can be sent to the Marietta Community Foundation, P.O. Box 77, Marietta, C/O the WMOA Christmas Zoo Fund or dropped off at their office on the corner of Front and Putnam. Any organization wishing to be on the distribution list should contact WMOA Radio Station Manager, Brenda Padgitt, at 740-373-1490 by Dec. 15.
