Meeting for Christmas Day Feast is Sunday
The next meeting of volunteers for Christmas Day Feast 2019 will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Fellowship Hall of Marietta First Presbyterian Church. Volunteers are needed to promote the event, prepare and deliver meals, bus tables and clean afterward. Cash donations to purchase needed items and homemade casseroles of beef, chicken, seafood, vegetables or mac and cheese are requested. Donations of fresh fruits and fruit juices, including V8, are appreciated.

Genealogical Society will hold potluck
The Washington County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet Friday at noon at the home of Don and Sharon Gardner, 1645 County Road 9, Marietta, for the annual Christmas potluck luncheon. Meat dishes, bread, drinks, and eating utensils will be provided. Everyone attending is asked to include a donation of food for the community food pantry.
Live nativity will be at Tunnel UM Church
The youth of Tunnel United Methodist Church will present its sixth annual live nativity Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m. Guests will remain in their vehicles to drive through and stop at the various scenes in the church’s lower parking lot. Live animals, provided by the Pampered Pets Petting Farm, may include: sheep, goats, a cow, a donkey and a llama. Each group that drives through will receive a Christmas ornament. The event is free and open to the public; donations are not accepted. Tunnel UMC is located five miles west of Marietta at OH 550 and Coffman Road (behind Warren Volunteer Fire Department).

New Year breakfast at the O’Neill Center
The O’Neill Center will host a breakfast to kick off the new year Dec. 31 at 9 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $5 per person and free for children. Pre-payment is required. To sign up, call the O’Neill Center at 740-373-3914.
Reno Water board will meet on Tuesday
Reno Water and Sewer will hold the next regularly scheduled board meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Reno Water Office, 170 Mt. Tom Road.
