Discover Diabetes, a free seminar on how to reverse diabetes, lose weight without exercise, and increase your energy levels, will be held Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. at Back In Line Chiropractic & Wellness LLC, 130 Maple St., Marietta. The seminar will be led by Dr. David Norris DC, MS, DACBN, Chiropractic Physician, Masters in Nutrition, Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist. Little Muskingum Grange members will hold a Christmas caroling sing from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the German Lutheran Church on Ohio 26 at Sitka. The church will be decorated for an old-fashioned Christmas. There will be propane heat, but attendees are asked to dress for cool weather. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.

The Village of Lower Salem will hold its annual Christmas Holiday Party Dec. 21. Soups, sandwiches and cornbread will be served beginning at 4 p.m. at the Lower Salem Village Hall. Residents may bring cookies to share. Santa will arrive between 5 and 5:30 p.m. with treats for the kids. This event is free.

The Marietta Natural History Society will host environmental science educator Amy Osborne at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 150 of the Rickey Science Center on the Marietta College Campus. Amy will speak about her recent expedition to Antarctica. Her expedition can be followed at tinyurl.com/amyinantarctica. The next MNHS presentation will be Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in the same location. Marty Seufer of Wood County will present “Bee City USA” about Williamstown.

Beverly American Legion Post 389 will host an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m Friday. The cost is $8 and includes fish deep-fried or baked, fries, and coleslaw. There will be music by Jessica Jo and Justin from 7 to 10 p.m. The public is welcome.
