The City of Marietta Streets Department will begin the second round of leaf collection on Monday. Pick-up will start at Fifth through 10th streets then move to the side streets. Crews will move to North Hills, Rathbone and then the West side by Wednesday depending on weather. Please abide by all “No Parking” signs to allow the crews room to collect leaves.

The Washington County Health Department will close early on Thursday for a staff Christmas luncheon. Regular business hours will resume on Friday.

The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta, 232 Third St., will host an African drum workshop Dec. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Social Hall. Master Drummer Lawrence Greene will conduct the workshop. The cost is $10 and advance registration is required. Drums will be provided for students who need them. To register, call Rev. Cutler Community Center will host a free health screening clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at Cutler Community Center, 4550 Two Mile Run Road. There will be free blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol and lipid profile. Screenings are provided by nurses from Community Health Programs, Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Washington State Community College Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. Monday in the Community Room of the main building.
