Volunteers for the annual Christmas Day Feast are encouraged to attend a review and planning meeting to begin preparations for the 2020 event. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Fellowship Hall of the host church, Marietta First Presbyterian, 501 Fourth St. Those attending will look back at last year’s dine-in, delivery, carry-out and transportation of guests to look at possible ways to make improvements.

The January regular meeting for the Frontier Local Schools Board of Education is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Frontier High/Middle School media center.
The Operations Committee meeting of the Warren Local Schools Board of Education has been moved to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren Administration Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent.
Kindergarten registration for Fort Frye Local Schools is scheduled for Feb. 17-21 for Beverly-Center Elementary, Lowell Elementary,and Salem-Liberty Elementary. Children must be 5 years of age by Aug. 1. To register, parents/guardians should visit the central registrar’s office located at Beverly-Center Elementary that week between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, Thursday, Friday, or between noon and 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Once the child has registered, kindergarten screening will be held April 6-9. Guardians will be notified of the date and time to come in for their child’s screening. Guardians are asked to bring the child’s official birth certificate, immunization record, as well as any divorce, separation or custody papers showing legal guardianship. Proof of residency in the school district, such as a bill or rental agreement identifying their physical address is also required along with parent/guardian’s photo ID.

O’Neill Center will host a breakfast club beginning Jan. 27 every morning from 10 to 11 a.m. A guest speaker from The Ohio State University Extension office will visit once per month. This club is free of charge. Call 740-373-3914 to reserve a seat.
Beverly-Center PTO will host a Thirty-One BINGO Fundraiser Feb. 2 at Beverly-Center Elementary School. Doors open at noon and games begin at 1 p.m. The event will include a 50/50 drawing, concessions, a country store, and vendors. Tickets are $25 at the door, or can be purchased in advance for $20 through the Facebook event, from students, PTO members or at the school office. Must be at least 18 years of age to play. Proceeds benefit the Beverly-Center Elementary School students.
