The date of the regular March meeting of the Fort Frye Board of Education has been changed to March 26 at 6 p.m. at Beverly-Center Elementary School.

The 11th annual Winter Swap Meet will be held March 7 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Fair Grounds, 922 Front St., inside the Junior Fair Building. Vendors will be selling antique parts, car bodies, complete cars and accessories for early Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet and other makes. Admission is $5 per person and children under 12 are free. Parking is free.

Frontier Local Schools will hold kindergarten registration May 11 at New Matamoras Elementary School and May 12 at Newport Elementary School. Any child who will be 5 years old prior to the Aug. 1 deadline is eligible to enroll. Parents can call New Matamoras Elementary at 740-865-3422 or Newport Elementary School at 740-473-2667 to schedule a time for registration.

The Independence Township trustees regular monthly meeting will be held March 5 at 6 p.m. at the townhouse on Upper Archers Fork Road.

The Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold a regular meeting at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting will be held at Ewing School, 1701 Colegate Drive. All meetings of the WCBDD are open to the public.

The 17th annual Fur Ball will be held March 28 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Marietta Shrine Club. The event will include dancing, music by The Bash, a BBQ dinner by Joe Momma’s Kitchen, desserts by The Sweet Stop, photo booth, live auction, country store and a 50/50 drawing.
