The Wolf Creek Local Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Waterford High School Library. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and possibly approve an emergency energy upgrade project for Waterford Elementary.

The Southeast Ohio Public Energy Council (SOPEC) will host two public hearing times for residents to learn more about the SOPEC Electric Plan of Operation and Governance, which describes the objectives and goals of the SOPEC Electric Aggregation Program for the Village of Lowell. The eastbound lane (downhill) of Lancaster Street is closed until repairs can be made following a slip. The westbound lane (uphill) will remain open. Local traffic should use Pearl Street Extension. Truck traffic will be rerouted to Groves Avenue.

Beverly United Methodist Church, 700 Park St., will hold its community lunch May 30, serving from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be a carry-out only meal of pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad and dessert.
