The Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold a regular meeting June 2 at 5:15 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually. Those wishing to participate are asked to contact Brenda Riffe at briffe@wcbdd.org.

Due to COVID-19, the Beverly Lions Club has canceled its Antique Tractor and Engine Show scheduled for July 4. The next show is planned for 2021. The American Legion Post #389 of Beverly will still hold its fireworks at the Fort Frye Stadium grounds that evening.

The Daily Bread on Gilman Avenue will resume operation on Wednesdays as of June 3. The weekly Saturday breakfast will continue at First Congregational United Church of Christ from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help with the breakfast is invited to contact the church office at 740-373-0741

The Washington County Board of Elections will be holding its regular monthly meeting and audit of the March 17, 2020 Primary Election at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Board of Elections Office.

The eastbound lane (downhill) of Lancaster Street is closed until repairs can be made following a slip. The westbound lane (uphill) will remain open. Local traffic should use Pearl Street Extension. Truck traffic will be rerouted to Groves Avenue.
