¯ A patrolman was dispatched Oct. 20 to an apartment burglary that had occurred while the resident was locked up in the Washington County Jail.

¯ An officer was dispatched to the Marietta Police Department in reference to meeting with a victim of theft of cash. The case remains under further investigation.

¯ An officer investigated a subject on Oct. 21 who was trying to sell a large amount of jewelry at a local jewelry store.

The individual admitted to stealing the items from his sister. The sister didn’t wish to have him prosecuted and to have her jewelry returned to her.

¯ On Oct. 21, a patrolman investigated a reported assault of a staff member by a patient at 401 Matthews St. on Oct. 18.

¯ Units were dispatched Thursday to 110 Second St. in reference to a holdup alarm.

Upon arrival, units learned a male subject just robbed the Citizens Bank of an undetermined amount of money and fled westbound.

All units were called in and canvassed the area. Detectives were called out to process the scene.

¯ Patrolmen were dispatched Friday to 403 Oakwood Ave. in reference to a possible domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, who stated she was domestically assaulted by the suspect after he hit her in the face with a white plastic item.

The victim also had visible bloody injuries and photos were taken along with statements. A temporary protection order was requested by the victim.

The suspect, Roger Winebrenner, was later found and arrested. He was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯ A patrolman was dispatched Friday to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. A man will be summonsed into court.

¯ An officer was dispatched Saturday to Marietta Memorial Hospital in regards to a domestic dispute.

Officers made contact with the victim, who advised 30 minutes prior to arrival of the officer, she was at the hospital with her boyfriend, James Edward Giles III, for personal medical issues.

While in an ER room, Giles got irate and punched the victim on the left side of her face with his closed right fist. He also broke the victim’s phone. He was later found at 274 Ridgewood Court and taken into custody without incident. Giles was charged with domestic violence.

¯ A unit was dispatched on Saturday to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. During the investigation, it was learned that two women had been caught shoplifting. They will be summonsed for theft.

¯ Marietta College students reported they were threatened by a man in a blue truck on Sunday. The man was holding a long gun out his vehicle window while they were protesting at the corner of Front and Putnam streets.

¯ A victim arrived Sunday at the Marietta Police Department, advising his silver 2003 Mazda Protege was taken during the morning hours of Saturday from the parking lot of 240 Hillcrest Drive. The car was later found in West Virginia.

¯ A patrolman recovered a stolen license plate on Monday at 215 Poplar Lane. After investigation, it appears the stolen license plate had been used as a replacement when a thief stole a plate from a victim on Poplar Lane. The victim’s plate was stolen and the other stolen plate was put on the victim’s car.

¯ Units responded to the 100 block of Woodland Avenue on Monday in reference to a dog bite incident. The investigation revealed a dog escaped from the back yard of 133 Woodland Ave., ran down the street and attacked another dog which was being walked. The owners of the second dog attempted to break up the dog fight and sustained puncture wounds to the hands and leg.

¯ An officer responded Monday to a theft complaint at Gamestop, 227 Captain D. Seely Drive.

The theft had occurred at approximately 4:31 p.m. and was caught on surveillance video. The item stolen was a Nintendo Switch, valued at $279.99.

A male subject is on video taking the item from the store counter and putting it in his hoodie pocket, then walking out of the store with two younger boys. This case remains under investigation.

¯ An investigation was started Oct. 21 into catalytic converters being stolen. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A lieutenant met with Shawn Burkett of Salster Road, Fleming, on Oct. 21 in reference to a theft. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Oct. 21 to Waterford to meet with a woman who reported her boyfriend, Zachariah Beardsley-Ladeaux, assaulted her on Oct. 14. She stated Zachariah got off work and she picked him up on that day.

She stated they stopped at a gas station and purchased beer and drank them on the way home.

She also stated that when they arrived at their residence, Zachariah allegedly became violent and hit her with an ash tray, head butted her, grabbed her by the arms and threw her to the ground.

Zachariah Wayne Beardsley, 33, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.

¯ A sergeant responded Friday to 410 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, to meet with a woman regarding a domestic incident that occurred with Adam McLeish. The woman stated she has been providing McLeish with money and he had asked for more money Thursday night. She stated they were up all night arguing and on Friday morning, he told her she could lay down. A little while later, he woke her asking for money again, which she refused. She stated McLeish charged at her, striking her in the forehead/bridge of her nose with an open hand, followed by punching her twice in the area of her ribs. They continued arguing in which McLeish allegedly picked up a foot stool and threw it at her.

McLeish, about 30 minutes later, reportedly grabbed her by the hair, throwing her to the ground and kicking her in the back. McLeish allegedly continued his actions, making threats of harm to the woman.

Adam Charles McLeish, 39, of 250 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence.

¯ An investigation was started Friday into a phone scam where an individual was asked for money to avoid arrest in another state. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy issued a citation on Friday to Christopher R. Honchul, of 307 Third St., Lowell, for driving on a suspended operator’s license and fictitious plates.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Sunday to Killwell Run Road, Marietta, to a report of Ethan Vannoy allegedly being highly intoxicated and out of control. Upon arrival Vannoy was face down on the floor, with someone holding his feet while another sat on him. After speaking with all parties involved, it was decided a summons would be requested for Ethan Alexander Vannoy, of 5461 State Route 821, Whipple, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

¯ A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Sunday and issued a citation to Michael Anthony Bowman, of 229 Franklin St., Marietta, for driving under license suspension.

¯ A deputy began an investigation on Sunday into the breaking and entering at the storage buildings at 1382 State Route 550, Wesley Township. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Sunday, a sergeant began an investigation into a trespassing complaint in Aurelius Township. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A sergeant began an investigation on Monday into a possible domestic violence. In speaking with all parties, it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ A sergeant began an investigation on Monday into an identity theft incident. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Monday to 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 29, Marietta, to a man reporting he was assaulted by his wife, Jeana L. Christy.

He reported Christy had been drinking and allegedly became increasingly violent and destructive. He stated Christy started throwing cups and dishes at him and knocking over furniture. Jeana Lee Christy, 38, of Marietta, was placed under arrest for domestic violence.

¯ Rebecca Pearl Lanning, 31, of 105 Melody Lane, Marietta, was arrested for criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

¯ Haley Ashton Jett, 29, of 171 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, was arrested for disorderly conduct and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors.

¯ Lucas William Wharton, 41, of 106 Gross St., Marietta, was arrested for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony, and possession of drug abuse instruments, criminal trespass and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

¯ Terry Gilbert Dalton, 55, of Cutler, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony.

¯ Felicia Christine Jackson, 39, homeless, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Matthew Wayne Rosier, 31, of 209 Fifth St., Apt. 1, Beverly, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Brent Edwin Reynolds, 35, of 749 Greene St., Apt. A, Marietta, was arrested for two counts of probation violation, both felonies.

¯ Iesha Rachelle McFadden, 24, of 411 East Spring St., Marietta, was arrested for tampering with evidence, a felony, and theft, criminal trespass and possession of drug abuse instruments, all felonies.

¯ Cole Michel Conant, 19, of 1002 23rd St., Apt. 13, Vienna, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and contempt of court, both misdemeanors.

¯ James Edward Giles, 32, of Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Adam Charles McLeish, 39, of Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Timothy Matthew Sampson, 29, of 206 Brentwood St., Marietta, was arrested for driving under the OVI suspension, fictitious plates and probation violation, all misdemeanors.

¯ Shavon Monique Reams, 38, of 809 Warren Ave., Belpre, was arrested for breach of recognizance, obstructing justice, theft, driving under suspension, all misdemeanors.

¯ Jeana Lee Christy, 38, of Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Charles Stanley Fox II, 50, of 165 Starlite Drive, Lot 1, Marietta, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Matthew Ronald Foraker, 36, of 1003 Campus Drive, Belpre, was arrested for contempt of court, a misdemeanor.
