¯ A Fort Frye Policy Committee meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Beverly Center Elementary School, 510 Fifth St., Beverly.
¯ Reno Water and Sewer District will hold the regularly scheduled Board Meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 15 in the Reno Water Office, 170 Mount Tom Road. The public is welcome. Safe distancing will be practiced because of COVID-19 and attendees are asked to wear a mask.
¯ Washington County Auditor Matthew Livengood has begun the process of a state-mandated reappraisal of all properties. There will be appraisers visiting properties throughout the county through the end of 2021. New values resulting from the reappraisal will go into effect Jan. 1, 2023, and will be payable on the 2024 tax bills. Christmas in the
¯ Barlow Presbyterian Church will participate in Christmas in the Village from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Items for sale will include homemade cookies by the dozen, jars of spiced tea mix, homemade mincemeat, wood crafts and material items. Barlow Presbyterian Church is located at the corner of Warrior Drive and Ohio 550.
Lions Club Christmas
¯ The Beverly Lions Club Christmas display and treats auction will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Beverly United Methodist Church, 700 Park St., Beverly. Doors open at 1 p.m. Area businesses and individuals will participate by entering decorated Christmas items, gift baskets, gift items and holiday pastries. All proceeds will benefit diabetes research and pediatric cancer. Masks and social distancing required.
¯ The Tunnel-Warren Chapel United Methodist Church will provide free community meals from 5-6 p.m. Dec. 10. The menu will include pork chops, a baked potato, baked beans, applesauce, a dinner roll, dessert, and bottled water. A small Christmas gift will be given with each meal. Meals will be served as drive-through pick-ups in the lower parking lot; remain in your car. To reserve a meal, call or text Amy at 740-516-0847 or respond to Tunnel UMC’s Facebook post.
