¯ Deputies were dispatched Dec. 5 to the Silver Moon Diner, Barlow, for assistance. The owner was having problems with Stephon Drummond, 8905 Crews Lane, Chesterhill, and had been advised that Drummond threatened harm to the owner. After conducting the investigation, a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was filed, after locating items in Drummond’s vehicle.
¯ Charges were filed Friday on Ryan M. Efaw, 180 Main St., Vincent, a current inmate at the Washington County Jail, for breaking and entering. On June 19, deputies were dispatched to Whipkey Drive in Waterford Township to a report of breaking and entering around June 6 and June 7.
Two cabins in the area were both entered and several items, including antiques, knives and miscellaneous items, were stolen. Between June 12 and June 16 the cabins were entered again and the Sheriff’s Office was advised on June 19. At that time an electric scooter and curtains were stolen. Evidence was obtained at the scene and a preliminary association was found between the DNA of Efaw by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office CODIS. DNA was also confirmed belonging to an unknown female.
On Dec. 3, Efaw was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was interviewed at the jail Sunday and denied any knowledge or involvement.
Efaw’s girlfriend met Thursday with deputies and initially lied about any involvement, however eventually confessed, stating her DNA would probably be found in the house. When asked what had occurred, Ashana Long stated that Efaw was a “very good convincer.” Charges were filed on Ashana Long and she was arrested for the breaking and entering.
The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:
¯ Ashana Dawn Long, 28, of 180 Main St., Vincent, was arrested for breaking and entering, a felony.
¯ Dakota Ryan Waite, 29, of 1045 Sandhill Road, Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, driving under suspension, no seatbelt and improper lane usage, all misdemeanors.
¯ Ryan Cayce Beardsley, 27, of 1107 Cisler Lane, Marietta, was arrested for possession of drugs, a felony.
