River Trails and Ales plans to get the community movin’ and groovin’

This year’s Rivers, Trails and Ales Festival is significantly scaled back.
The festival began Friday morning and continues Saturday with activities for all ages, including biking, hiking, paddeling, scavenging, or even some peaceful beginner yoga.
The festival headquarters will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Marietta Armory lawn at 241 Front St. in downtown Marietta.
Saturday’s schedule includes:
Anytime:
¯ Gnome Adventure Hike*
¯ Bicycle Scavenger Hunt*
* Stop by the Headquarters between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick up the map and clues for the scavenger hunt or the gnome coloring sheet.
¯ 8:30-10:30 a.m.: Self-guided Hike at Broughton’s Nature and Wildlife Education Area.
¯ 9-10 a.m.: Yoga with Megan Lang, on the Marietta Armory lawn. All yoga events required a mat and suggest a towel for morning dew.
¯ 9-11 a.m.: Self-guided Historic Muskingum River Paddle. Must meet at the Devola Dam or the Muskingum River Lock #2.
¯ 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Self-guided Road Rides.*
¯ 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Self-guided Mountain Bike Rides. All biking events meet at the Headquarters for cue cards or other information.
The 2021 RTA Brew Destinations include: The House of Wines (4339 SR60); Over the Moon Pub & Pizza (170 Front St.); Town House (230 Front St.); Marietta Brewing Company (167 Front St.); and The Galley & Adelphia Music Hall (205 Second St.)
