¯ Deputies began an investigation Sept. 15 into a missing child in the Marietta Township area. The child was located and returned safely.
¯ A deputy began an investigation Friday into a stolen catalytic converter in Muskingum Township. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A sergeant began an investigation Friday into a subject having a financial (fraud) loss through a bank account. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A deputy began an investigation Thursday into tools and water pump(s) being stolen from a job site on Veto Road in Dunham Township. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A deputy was dispatched Friday to Adams Township in reference to a complaint that Marshall Jones was making threats of harm to an individual. After conducting the investigation it was determined that Marshall Edward Jones, 40, of 315 Walnut St., Lowell, would be arrested and charged with menacing.
¯ A sergeant began an investigation Saturday in Waterford Township in reference to a home being entered. This case remains under investigation.
¯ On Sunday at approximately 3:40 a.m., a lieutenant responded to State Route 821, Lower Salem, to a report of a break in. The occupants noticed a motorcycle in the drive they did not recognize and then observed a male subject in the attached garage.
The resident(s) then went outside to confront the male subject, and kept him there until law enforcement arrived. Contact was made with the male, Zayden Petry, who advised he was in the garage looking for gas, without permission, as his motorcycle ran out of gas up the road. Petry was patted down and handcuffed.
The lieutenant located several items in Petry’s pockets that the homeowners recognized as belonging to them. There was also a basket that had power tools in it that was moved from its original location to behind the garage, possibly in order to steal. The lieutenant detected a strong odor of alcohol and Petry admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening.
Zayden Jase Petry, 18, of 56321 Spencer Road, Cumberland, was placed under arrest and charged with burglary and prohibitions – alcohol under the age of 21. Petry was transported to the Washington County Jail and upon completion of a PBT the test results were .099 BAC.
The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:
¯ Mathew Wayne Rosier, 32, of Beverly, was arrested for possession of drugs, a felony.
¯ Casey Troy Carpenter, 25, of Lowell, was arrested for resisting arrest, criminal trespass and probation violation, a misdemeanor.
¯ Marshall Edward Jones, 40, of Lowell, was arrested for menacing and no seatbelt, both misdemeanors.
¯ Zayden Jase Petry, 18, of Cumberland, was arrested for trespassing, a felony, and prohibitions – alcohol under the age of 21, a misdemeanor.
