¯ A patrolman was requested at Marietta High School on Oct. 5 by the principal in reference to an assault that had occurred that morning. Through an investigation, a juvenile will be cited into juvenile court for assault.

¯ A patrolman responded Oct. 5 to the report of a protection order violation at 625 Pearl St. Extension. Taylor Marie Wright was arrested for the protection order violation.

¯ An officer was dispatched Oct. 5 to 420 Front St. in reference to a stolen trailer. This incident is still under investigation.

¯ An officer met with a woman at the police department Oct. 6 in reference to a temporary protection order violation. The complainant advised that her ex-husband, who she has a protection order against, had been sending her messages all that morning. James David Warner was arrested for multiple warrants. Additional charges will be forthcoming.

¯ A patrolman investigated a bad/fraudulent check complaint Oct. 6 at the Antique Mall of Marietta. This case remains under investigation.

¯ An officer went to 152 Harmar St. on Oct. 6 and met with the complainant in reference to missing medication. This case remains under investigation.

¯ An officer was dispatched Oct. 6 to Bridgeport Tool and Supply in reference to a theft complaint. Two male subjects entered the store and stole a BB gun and some 9mm ammunition. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A patrolman responded Oct. 6 to Walmart in reference to a theft. The suspect under-rang $336.26 worth of merchandise. A summons will be requested for the suspect.

¯ A patrolman was dispatched Thursday to 736 Greene St. Apt. 18 in reference to the caller’s live-in boyfriend smoking illegal drugs. A piece of broken drug paraphernalia was turned over.

¯ A patrolman stopped a vehicle Friday at South Fourth and Greene streets for running a flashing red light.

The driver was identified as Kirk Allen Mason, who had a felony warrant out of Parkersburg for sexual assault in the third-degree. He was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with being a fugitive from justice.

¯ Units responded Friday to a Greene Street residence in reference to an active domestic dispute. Upon arrival, units made contact with the caller outside of the apartment, who alleged she had been woken up and punched in the stomach by her live-in boyfriend, Justin Harris. Harris was ultimately arrested for felony domestic violence and obstructing official business.

¯ It was reported a subject entered the kitchen of the First Congressional Church, 318 Front St., on Friday and stole food items.

¯ An officer responded Saturday to 105 Dudley Ave. in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint.

¯ An officer was dispatched Sunday to Touchless Shine Car Wash, 304 Muskingum Drive, for a theft complaint. A “No Dumping” sign was stolen from the property on Thursday. The suspects were identified and returned the sign upon request. The property owner refused charges upon return of his property.

¯ It was reported Monday that Marietta Police Department began an investigation into a sex crime.
