Arrests/Washington County

The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Kirk Alan Mason, 33, of Lowell, was arrested for fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

¯ Justin Allen Harris, 39, of Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony, and obstructing official business and direct contempt, both misdemeanors.

¯ Charles Edwin Day, 38, of Cutler, was arrested for domestic violence and aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors.

¯ James Nathan Holder, 35, of Marietta, was arrested for breach of recognizance and forgery, both felonies.

¯ Colton Robert Ishmael, 28, of Lowell, was arrested for contempt of court warrant, Pickaway County.

¯ Samuel Abraham Hartshorn, 43, of Reno, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony.

Reports/Washington County

¯ A deputy began an investigation Oct. 4 into a stolen 8-by-4-foot trailer from Waterford Township. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A sergeant began an investigation Oct. 5 into a burglary in the Lawrence Township area. Nothing was removed and a refusal to prosecute was signed.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Oct. 6 at the Par Mar, Marietta Township, regarding a theft. The theft was for approximately $18.50 in merchandise. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Oct. 7 to Newport Township, to a report of a female being assaulted by Mitchell Greenwood. After conducting the investigation and speaking with all parties involved, it was determined that Mitchell L. Greenwood, 36, of 35 Heeter Road, Newport, would be placed under arrest and charged with assault.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Friday to 830 Mount Tom Road, Marietta Township, to a report made by Noah Six stating Charles Day Jr. threatened him with a gun. Deputies made contact and was advised by Six that Day came into the room and they engaged in a verbal argument and then Day brandished a firearm.

A witness to the incident was told by Day that he would shoot them as well. After speaking with all parties involved, Charles Edwin Day Jr., 38, was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated menacing and domestic violence.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Friday in Pioneer Township in reference to a dog restraint complaint. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Friday in Belpre Township regarding a stolen 2004 Ford truck. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A lieutenant was dispatched Saturday to Barlow Township to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was located parked along Ohio 339 and a man was observed laying in the grass, with the vehicle running and the lights on. The lieutenant identified herself, however the man did not respond. The man, identified as Michael Chisolm, seemed to be confused. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected and he admitted to drinking.

He stated he was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and had driven from Marietta to his home. The investigation continued and Michael Wayne Chisolm, 33, of 13768 State Route 339, Waterford, was charged with having physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence.

¯ A sergeant began an investigation Saturday in New Matamoras regarding a stolen vehicle. After patrolling the area the vehicle was located. Case closed.

¯ A deputy responded Saturday to Reynolds Landscaping, Belpre, regarding catalytic converters being removed from vehicle(s). This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy observed a vehicle partially blocking a lane of travel on Barnett Ridge Road, Barlow Township, Sunday. The deputy met with Jeremy Kesselring, a single male occupant reclining in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, asleep. The deputy completed his investigation and spoke with Kesselring. Jeremy Jay Kesselring, 44, of 4791 Waterford Road, Marietta, was issued a citation for physical control of a motor vehicle.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Sunday into a breaking and entering in Muskingum Township. This case remains under investigation.
