Peoples Bank features Esebenshade art series

Free tickets for Artrageous, a performance combining visual art, music, and dance, will be available starting Monday, February 10, at 10 a.m. through the Peoples Bank Theatre Box Office.

The event is funded by the Frederica G. Esbenshade Memorial Fund, which supports lectures, performances, and programs for the campus and community. The fund was established in 1980 by Harry H. Esbenshade Sr. and Harry H. Esbenshade Jr. in memory of Mrs. Esbenshade of Uniontown, Pa. All events are free and open to the public.

Part of Marietta College’s Esbenshade Series, Artrageous is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. at Peoples Bank Theatre. Doors open at 6 p.m.

During the performance, artists will create paintings live on stage, accompanied by music, vocals, and choreographed movements. The show incorporates various artistic styles, cultural themes, and musical influences. Audience participation is included as part of the experience.

The troupe is comprised of different artists from many walks of life, with their homebase in the New Mexico mountains between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The artist have a campus complete with a rehearsal space, recording studio and warehouse.

At the conclusion of the event, completed paintings from the performance will be displayed. The troupe carries prints of the finished paintings that will be available for purchase and one lucky audience member will receive one of the paintings.
