Things to look for in this year’s tour include the Campbells’ home that was built in 1964 adjacent to Blennerhassett School. Remodeling started in 2000 to add a family room, upgrade the kitchen and bathroom and add a 9-foot bay window. Debbie Campbell decorates the inside using snowman figurines.

Exterior decorations, such as a large wrought iron lighted nativity scene, enhance the neighborhood. Disney characters and inflatables add ambiance to the Santa Workshop next door.
Oakland Mansion, the home of the WVU Parkersburg Foundation, was decorated by designer Keith McClung, owner of Crown Floral & Gifts. Built in 1832 by James McNeil Stephenson, a lawyer, banker and politician, the house was named for the oak trees that covered the 6-acre estate. In 2015, Stephenson’s great-great-grandson and wife gave the home to the foundation. Years were spent renovating the structure and upgrading the furnishings. The mansion has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975.
Harter’s home was built in 1901 by a prominent local attorney. It has maintained many of the original features, including the front door entrance. A complete renovation was done seven years ago and merges the old with modern conveniences of today.
The upstairs is an additional living area and can function as a peaceful space or even a party venue. Look for the Italian Travertine flooring and the multiseasonal outdoor fireplace that provides year round enjoyment.
The Holiday Package of Christmas Love, Peace and Joy at 806 47th St., Vienna, features exterior decor by Patsy and Tim Buckles-Martin. The spacious red brick home was built in the 1960’s.

Since the 1970’s, members of the Buckles family have appreciated elegant screened and lawn living as well as the detached garage with a private drive.
