Career Center students inducted into Honor Society

The National Technical Honor Society of the Career Center recently held induction of new members and reception for students selected for membership. Forty-three young men and women and their guests were invited to the reception.

The National Technical Honor Society, formed in 1984, recognizes outstanding career and technical students for achievement in seven competency areas, including skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. Locally, the Washington County Career Center has honored students for 26 years. This year, 22 new initiates were inducted at a ceremony on April 29 at the Career Center.

The new initiates are:

¯ Lydia Arnett is a Belpre junior in the Landscape Construction & Turf Management program, and she is the daughter of Charles and Lisa Arnett of Belpre.

¯ Andrea Cassady is a Marietta junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and she is the daughter of William Cassady of Marietta.

¯ Benjamin Cline is a Marietta junior in the Diesel Truck Mechanics program, and he is the son of James and Amber Cline of Reno.

¯ Cynthia Crim is a Fort Frye junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and she is the daughter of Matthew and Doris Crim of Beverly.

¯ Eric Dotson is a Belpre junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and he is the son of Herman Dotson of Vienna and Becky Dotson of Belpre.

¯ Matthew Eickert is a Warren junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and he is the son of Mark and Mary Eickert of Little Hocking.

¯ Audrey Erb is a Frontier senior in the Digital Marketing program, and she is the daughter of William and Cynthia Erb of Whipple.

¯ Ashley Farnsworth is a Warren junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Bubba and Monica Farnsworth of Marietta.

¯ Gabriella Grabow is a Marietta junior in the Building Technology/Carpentry program, and she is the daughter of Eric and Diane Grabow of Lowell.

¯ Dylan Grayson is a Marietta junior in the Heavy Equipment program, and he is the son of Jay Grayson, Sr. of Cutler and Angela Best of Marietta.

¯ Kylie Hahn is a Belpre junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Matthew and Angela Hahn of Belpre.

¯ Lindsay Heiss is a Fort Frye junior in the Digital Marketing program, and she is the daughter of Andy and Liza Heiss of Beverly.

¯ Mckenzie Kilkenny is a Warren junior in the Medical College program, and she is the daughter of Chuck and Amanda Jackson of Vincent.

¯ Savannah Knotts is a Belpre junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and she is the daughter of Perry and Mary Knotts of Belpre.

¯ Elisa Masselli is a Marietta junior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and she is the daughter of Ken and Pamela Masselli of Marietta.

¯ Bailey Owens is a Marietta junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Susan Malone of Marietta.

¯ Katelyn Roser is a Marietta junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the granddaughter of Kathy Roser of Marietta.

¯ Brandon Simoniette is a Warren junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and he is the son of Jeff and Suzy Simoniette of Little Hocking.

¯ Jazmyne Singer is a Warren junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Preston Singer of Cutler and Jennifer Stover of Cutler.

¯ Jackson Wesel is a Marietta junior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and he is the son of Joseph and Kathryn Wesel of Marietta.

¯ Alyssa Westfall is a Warren junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Chris and Melissa Westfall of Cutle.

¯ Nathaniel Wigal is a Warren junior in the Heavy Equipment program, and he is the son of Joseph Wigal of Marietta and Jessica Douglas of Belpre.

¯ Amy Brookhart is a Warren senior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and she is the daughter of Michael and Betty Brookhart of Vincent.

¯ Nate Brothers is a Fort Frye senior in the Welding program, and he is the son of Tom and Kim Brothers of Beverly.

¯ Spencer Crone is a Marietta senior in the Heavy Equipment program, and he is the son of Joe and Melinda Crone of Marietta.

¯ Dominick Dilly is a Fort Frye senior in the Electricity program, and he is the son of Terry Stephens and Angela Dilly-Stephens of Beverly.

¯ Breanna Fleeman is a Marietta senior in the Patient Health Care program, and she is the daughter of Chris and Julie Fleeman of Marietta.

¯ Hunter Gilbert is a Belpre senior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and he is the son of Scott Gilbert of Belpre and Kenna Lewis of Parkersburg.

¯ Mary Hayes is a Frontier senior in the Cosmetology program, and she is the daughter of Jeff (Selena) Hayes of Morgantown and Amy Dye (Jeremy) of Newport.

¯ Kaitlyn Hensel is a Marietta senior in the Digital Marketing program, and she is the daughter of Dale and Natasha Hensel of Marietta.

¯ Janson Linton is a Belpre senior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Jason Linton of Athens and Brandy (Eric) Sydenstricker of Belpre.

¯ Jocelyn Lynch is a Fort Frye senior in the Cosmetology program, and she is the daughter of Anthony and Ronda Lynch of Lowell.

¯ McKayla McClain is a Warren senior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Ryan and Melissa McClain of Bartlett.

¯ Ivy Pugh is a Marietta senior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and she is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Pugh of Marietta.

¯ Jaclyn Reynolds is a Marietta senior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and she is the daughter of Doris Reynolds of Marietta and the late Brent Reynolds.

¯ Shelby Sandlin is a Marietta senior in the Cosmetology program, and her guardians are Steve and Saith Kovacs.

¯ Cody Schmidt is a Marietta senior in the Heavy Equipment program, and he is the son of Jennifer Buck of Marietta.

¯ Hope Seevers is a Frontier senior in the Patient Health Care program, and she is the daughter of Jeff Seevers of New Matamoras and Sandra Seevers of Marietta.

¯ Jaron Seevers is a Marietta senior in the Heavy Equipment program, and he is the son of Doug and Karen Seevers of Marietta.

¯ David Sloter is a Warren senior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and he is the son of Dwight and Page Sloter of Fleming.

¯ Tyson Wilcoxen is a Belpre senior in the Auto Mechanics program, and he is the grandson of Roger Wilcoxen of Belpre.

Career Center students are selected for membership based upon scholarship (3.8 Career Center GPA), teacher recommendations, and exemplifying the seven ideals of skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership. Many Washington County Career Center students over the years have been members of both the Career Center Honor Society and their respective partner school honor society.
