Kent State Summer 2019 commencement lists now available

Kent State University recently conferred degrees to summer graduates during commencement exercises Aug. 17 in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center on the Kent Campus. The university awarded 280 associate degrees, 575 bachelor’s degrees and 362 graduate degrees to students.

Of the 575 bachelor’s degree students graduating with academic honors, 25 earned summa cum laude distinction with a 3.8 to 4.0 grade point average, while 37 were magna cum laude (3.60 to 3.79) and 57 were cum laude (3.3 to 3.59).

A total of 74 associate degree students graduated with distinction. The “with Distinction” honor is awarded when associate degree students achieve a GPA of 3.5 or better for all undergraduate coursework and have completed a minimum of 32 credit hours at Kent State University.

Rauch graduates from Jacobs School of Music

Sarah Rauch graduated May 4 from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN with a Bachelor of Music. She graduated cum laude with distinction in her class. She plans to continue her education in vocal performance at the graduate level. She is the daughter of David and Cathy Rauch of Lowell, granddaughter of Robert and Catherine Dickson of Marietta and Howard and Jane Rauch of Lowell.
