Fort Frye school official attends statewide conference
COLUMBUS – Stephanie Lang, Board President, Legislative Platform Committee, and Legislative Liaison for Fort Frye Local School District, attended the 64th annual Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Capital Conference and Trade Show, held Nov. 10-12 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
More than 9,000 people attended this year’s conference, which included more than 170 sessions of panel discussions, workshops, one-on-one assistance and nationally renowned speakers addressing a variety of educational issues.
Keynote speakers at the 2019 Capital Conference included award-winning film and TV actress Laura Linney, who is known for her roles in “Sully,” “Mystic River,” “Kinsey,” “The Truman Show,” and the TV series “Ozark,” “Tales of the City,” and “The Big C,” and world champion magician and scientist Jason Latimer, co-host of the Science Channel series “SciJinks.”
“I came back with ideas and encouragement on how facilities can impact student achievement and how to continue to improve on building a strong and safety infrastructure,” said Lang
