FFA students recognized

During the week of May 4-8, Ohio FFA recognized students through the Ohio FFA Celebration. Warren FFA was recognized in many different ways at the state level. First, Elizabeth Burdiss and Miranda Burton received a Gold rating on their officer books. Four of our members received the highest degree that the state can bestow upon its members, the Ohio FFA State Degree. Allison Florence, Garett Coffman, Josh Welch, and Tori Wittekind all receive their state degree awarded based on their outstanding Supervised Agriculture Experience, community service, activities above the chapter level. Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through supervised agricultural experiences, have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Sierra Sinclair applied for two different proficiency areas this year, Agricultural Processing and Organic Agriculture. Through her SAE she raises and produces her own goats milk to process goat milk soap. She sells the soap to local individuals through online services and stores. This year at the state level Sierra placed third in Agricultural Processing and first in the entire state for Organic Agriculture. A great honor to win this award!
