Trail Blazers 4-H holds July meetings at fairgrounds

The Trail Blazer 4-H had a meeting July 23 at Barlow Fairgrounds. There were nine members and nine guests present for the non-horse members. American Pledge was led by Emily Glover and 4-H Pledge was led by Emily Hoffman. The leaders gave the secretary report and the treasurer report.

Old business: They talked about the window display and poster contest and the open house and the spaghetti dinner.

New business: Livestock Skillathon is at Washington County Fairgrounds July 25, 2020.

Make-up skillathon is Aug. 3. RSVP with a $20 registration fee.

Pen reservations due: Washington County on July 25; Barlow Fair on Aug. 21.

Next meeting Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Barlow Fairgrounds.

The Trail Blazers had a meeting July 24 at 6:30 p.m. There were five horse members present. The members and leaders followed social distancing. The leaders did secretary and treasurer reports. They talked over window display, open house, spaghetti dinner, and tack auction.

New business: Livestock Skillathon at Washington County Fairgrounds Jr. Fair Building.

Last equine riding session is Aug. 1 from 10 a.m.-noon at Washington County Fairgrounds – obstacles.

Stall reservations due for Barlow Aug. 21. Mail to Senior Fair Board Office.

Work day at Washington County Fair horse barn Aug. 30 at 9:30 a.m.

Trash can paintings – need volunteers.

Next meeting: Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Barlow Fairgrounds.
