Belpre Chamber accepting nominations for annual awards

The public and all Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce members are invited to nominate a Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce member for an exciting new award, People’s Choice. Award sponsor is Peoples Bank.

According to Karen Waller, BACC Executive Director, this award provides members and the public at large a chance to nominate a local business or non-profit (members only) for a special award which recognizes a Belpre Area Chamber member for business accomplishments, service to the community, and perseverance, particularly during the challenges presented during the health crisis. The link to the nomination form is conta.cc/3kpWzQO and can also be accessed through the BACC Facebook page.

A full list of members can be accessed on Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce website under the Business Directory tab.

With this award, the Chamber’s Special Events Committee seeks to recognize a chamber member which the general public views as a stand-out in integrity, utilization of best business practices, and in providing service to the community.

The award winner will be announced on Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page Oct. 22 beginning at 7 p.m. during the Chamber’s Annual Awards broadcast.

Waller explained that due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, the Chamber’s Board of Directors opted to cancel this year’s gala event. The awards, which are traditionally a part of the event, will be made this year as usual but utilizing a Facebook broadcast rather than a live award segment.
