Buy a brick for veteran

The Christmas holidays are approaching and a great way to honor a veteran is to purchase a brick for them to be placed at the Veterans Walk of Honor, newly refurbished and landscaped by Nick Early, an Eagle Scout. Located on Armory grounds, it is right on Front Street in the center of Marietta.

Members of the board of Armory Square Inc. are selling bricks, engraved by Miller Memorials on Colgate here in Marietta, with the name and rank of the veteran to be placed in the Veterans Walk of Honor or the Community Walk with names of individuals, families, and businesses who want to honor veterans.

Applications can be found inside the Armory Visitor Center, on the literature rack outside the Washington County-Marietta Convention and Visitors Bureau door (CVB). Fill out the form and return it to the Marietta Community Foundation at 100 Putnam Street or mail to P.O. Box 77, Marietta, Ohio 45750. The cost is $50.For more information, call Harley Noland at 740-350-9852.
