Churchtown Busy Bunch 4-H

Churchtown Busy Bunch met Sunday, Feb. 7 at St. John Sr. Center. The meeting was called to order by Chandler Evans. The US pledge was led by Chad Lang. The 4-H pledge was led by Blake Lang. Joel Jenks took the roll call. Landon Nibert gave the treasurer’s report. Safety report was read by Blake Lang titled, “Safe Sledding Tips.” Chad Lang gave a health report titled “Tips for Eating Well.”

Under old business Advisor Joyce Kronberg shared County Award results. Connor Tullius was awarded a project pin for Technology and Engineering, a special award of Lamp of Knowledge and the Margaret Meredith Leadership Award. Isaiah Tullius earned pin awards for Beef, Engine, Tractor and Field Equipment, a special pin award in Acheivement and a trip award to State 4-H Leadership Camp. Caleb Schaad received a pin award for Engine, Tractor and Field Equipment. Maggie Fulton earned pin awards for Beef and Swine. Declan Schaad received a pin for Outdoor Education and Recreation. Our graduating Senior is Christian Schwendeman. Advisor Joyce Kronberg was honored for 30 years of service as a volunteer. The club earned a Gold Honor Club Award and received a Superior Scrapbook Award. Cloverbud graduates are Joel Schaad and Bristol Tullius.

Under new business the following topics were discussed, 4-H Promotional Window Display and Poster Contest, 4-H Open House, and 4-H Endowment Dinner and Auction donation. Landon Nibert motioned and Chad Lang seconded the motion to donate a garden cart filled with gardening items for the Endowment Auction. Motion passed. Landon will purchase the cart and members will donate items to fill the cart.

Cloverbuds shared the welcome mats they made with the rest of the club.

Chad Lang motioned to adjourn the meeting. Landon Nibert seconded it. The next meeting will be Sunday, February 28 to work on the Promotional Window Display.
