Belpre Senior Center is now open with limited activities

The staff of the Belpre Senior Center is excited to announce that we are finally able to reopen with limited activities in the center. The building, located at 1614 Washington Blvd., was closed Nov. 18 by order of the City of Belpre due to an increase in cases of COVID-19 in the community. As the Belpre Senior Center is located in a city building, Mayor Michael Lorentz wanted to make sure that the city was taking every precaution and following guidelines from the office of the governor and the Ohio Department of Health.

Classes and programs that are returning to the center include chair exercise on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1 p.m. and Bible Study on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. More activities will be added as we progress with a slow open.

We do take the safety of the seniors very seriously. Masks must be worn in the center and social distancing will be practiced. Class size is limited so we do ask that you call to secure your spot. Food and drink will not be permitted to be consumed on the property and sanitation stations are available.

Questions in regard to the programs and policies in place may be directed to the Belpre Senior Center at 740-423-6022 or view our website at oneillcenter.com. We look forward to seeing the seniors!
