Career Center inducts Honor Society members

The National Technical Honor Society of the Career Center recently held induction of new members for students selected for membership. Seventy-two young men and women and their guests were invited to the reception.

The National Technical Honor Society, formed in 1984, recognizes outstanding career and technical students for achievement in seven competency areas, including skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. Locally, the Washington County Career Center has honored students for 26 years. This year, 38 new initiates were inducted at a ceremony on April 29 at the Career Center.

New inductees are:

¯ Alexis Antill is a Fort Frye senior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Tim Antill and Cindy Jarvis;

¯ Cami Ayers is a Fort Frye senior in the Cosmetology program, and she is the daughter of Isaac and Trina Ayers;

¯ Kylie Barth is a Marietta junior in the Digital Marketing program, and she is the daughter of Craig and Melissa Barth;

¯ David Berga is a Warren junior in the Welding program, and he is the son of Kurtis and Angela Berga;

¯ Phoebe Blankenship is a Warren junior in the Patient Health Care program, and she is the daughter of Benjamin and Crystal Ours;

¯ Madison Cumberledge is a Warren junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and she is the daughter of Daniel and Michelle Medlin;

¯ Corrine Deeter is a Marietta junior in the Landscape Construction & Turf Management program, and she is the daughter of Alyssa Deeter;

¯ Ashlynn Dinnin is a Warren junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Jeffrey Dinnin and Amy Flesher;

¯ Anastasia Echelbarger is a Belpre junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Rachael Evans;

¯ Morgan “Finn” George is a Belpre junior in the Landscape Construction & Turf Management program, and she is the daughter of Sean and Joanna George;

¯ Ethen Gilbert is a Belpre junior in the Welding program, and he is the son of Jeff Gilbert and Julie Morrison;

¯ Levi Gregory is a Warren junior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and he is the son of Josh and Jana Gregory;

¯ Emily Harnage is a Warren junior in the Landscape Construction & Turf Management program, and she is the daughter of Scott and Cheri Lacaria;

¯ Brianna Hartshorn is a Marietta senior in the Patient Health Care program, and she is the daughter of Randall Hartshorn and Tanya Evans;

¯ Breanna Hill is a Fort Frye junior in the Digital Marketing program, and she is the daughter of Josh and Amanda Hill;

¯ Harlee Huntsman is a Warren senior in the Patient Health Care program, and she is the daughter of Mark and Lisa Huntsman;

¯ Katie Johnson is a Fort Frye junior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and she is the daughter of Chris and Rachelle Johnson;

¯ Emily Korodi is a Marietta junior in the Cosmetology program, and she is the daughter of David and Sarah Korodi;

¯ Dekotah Lemon is a Belpre senior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Jodi Sidwell and the late Edward Tice;

¯ Ella McFarland is a Warren junior in the Patient Health Care program, and she is the daughter of Andy and Courtney McFarland;

¯ Jarrett Parks is a Marietta junior in the Masonry program, and he is the son of Todd and Andrea Parks;

¯ Brooklyn Parsons is a Warren junior in the Medical College Prep program, and she is the daughter of Scott and Sherry Parsons;

¯ Liam Peckens is a Warren junior in the Building Technology/Carpentry program, and he is the son of Matt and Reginna Peckens;

¯ Katelyn Rathburn is a Fort Frye senior in the Medical College Prep program, and her guardians are John and Diana Parks;

¯ Alexia Ruble is a Marietta junior in the Electricity program, and she is the daughter of Tim and Jennifer Ruble;

¯ Braydn Ruble is a Belpre junior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and he is the son of Mechelle Brown;

¯ Luke Runnion is a Belpre junior in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and he is the son of Robert and Leia Runnion;

¯ Jackson Schaad is a direct-enroll junior in the Welding program, and he is the son of Leo and Holly Schaad;

¯ Andrew Smith is a Marietta junior in the Digital Marketing program, and he is the son of Christopher and Tisha Smith;

¯ Tabitha Strickler is a Frontier junior in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program, and she is the daughter of Shawn Strickler and Rachel and Gale DePuy;

¯ Brogan Sturm is a Marietta junior in the Building Technology/Carpentry program, and he is the son of Craig and Amanda Sturm;

¯ Waylon Thatcher is a Warren junior in the Electricity program, and he is the son of Robert Thatcher and Jacqualin Thatcher;

¯ Jaden Vaughn is a Marietta junior in the Heavy Equipment program, and he is the son of Shane and Amanda Vaughn;

¯ Kayla Vernon is a Warren senior in the Cosmetology program, and she is the daughter of Rob and Emily Vernon;

Career Center students are selected for membership based upon scholarship (3.8 Career Center GPA), teacher recommendations, and exemplifying the seven ideals of Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship and Leadership. Many Washington County Career Center students over the years have been members of both the Career Center Honor Society and their respective partner school honor society.
