Churchtown Busy Bunch 4-H Club

Churchtown Busy Bunch met Sunday, June 27 at St. John School Shelter. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Isaiah Tullius. The US pledge was led by Joel Jenks. 4-H pledge was led by Kayla Schwendeman. Kayla Schwendeman took the roll call and read the secretary minutes. Maggie Fulton gave the treasurer’s report. Safety report was read by Kayla Schwendeman titled, “Outdoor Water Safety.” Joel Jenks gave a health report titled “Tips to Beat the Heat”.

Advisors’ announcements – Market Duck pickup is July 22, Project judging is Thursday, July 15, Public Speaking Contest, Tuesday, July 13.

Under old business County 4-H Project Judging requirements were discussed.

Under new business the trash can decorating contest and a family cookout were discussed. Isaiah Tullius will provide a menu assignment for a cookout at the next meeting.

Demonstrations were given by: Kayla Schwendeman – “How to Train a Love Bird”, Maggie Fulton – “Cattle Fun Facts”, and Isaiah Tullius – “Finishing Up, How To Make a Dove Tail Joint”.

Joel Jenks motioned to adjourn the meeting. Kayla Schwendeman seconded it. The next meeting will be Sunday, July 11 at 4:30 p.m.

Cloverbud Activity – Making homemade bubbles and using household items to create bubbles.
