• On March 24, the Baymont Inn, 701 Pike St., reported the theft of maintenance equipment that occurred in January.

• On March 25, an officer was dispatched to 136 Front St. in reference to a machete found near the alley behind the residence. The machete was turned over to police.

• An officer began an investigation March 25 into a woman shipping large amounts of cash. The person lives outside city limits and the case was turned over the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

• An officer was dispatched to 205 Greene St. on March 25 in reference to criminal damaging and theft from a vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

• On March 26, the U.S. Postal Service reported the theft of personal items from a vehicle at 275 Front St. This case remains under investigation.

• An officer investigated a dog bite complaint on March 26. The victim was taken to a hospital and the dog’s owner agreed to quarantine the animal.

• On March 26, an officer was dispatched to 608 Second St. in reference to a dog bite. It was determined there was a fight between neighbor dogs. Little to no injuries were observed. The case will be forwarded to the dog warden.

• Officers were dispatched Friday to 760 Greene St. in reference to two unruly juveniles. Both juveniles are being charged and will appear in juvenile court.

• The Baymont Inn, 701 Pike St., reported March 26 that a woman who had been kicked out of her room for non-payment was trying to enter other rooms. When the staff ordered her to leave, she refused. Kathleen Waldrep, of 484 Barrett S Road, Vincent, was arrested for trespassing and obstructing.

• Ohio Valley Cab reported a fare fee not being paid Friday after a trip from the Washington County Jail to the Baymont Inn. A warrant for theft of services is being requested for Kathleen Waldrep.

• Stephen T. Hendershot, of 199 N. Hart St., reported Saturday that his car was keyed.

• Elizabeth A. Ashby, of 708 Washington St., reported the theft of a gas can on Sunday.

• On Sunday, an officer responded to Extreme Reflections Detail Shop, 107 W. Sacra Via. It was learned that the wind had blown a metal shed over a dumpster and into a tree, destroying the shed. Contents of the shed were on the ground. A man could later be seen picking up an end table and a box of decor from behind the dumpster.

• On Monday, an officer investigated unattended children playing in the 300 block of Third Street. The residence had numerous hazards and the mother was apparently asleep. Three children under the age of 6 were removed by Children Services.

• During a traffic stop Monday, the officer observed drug paraphernalia inside. The driver then fled into West Virginia where he later crashed. Christopher Browning, of 54460 State Route 681, Reedsville, was arrested by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to Ohio. Wood County will add additional charges.

• On Monday, an officer investigated a complaint of drug use in the 1100 block of Gilman Avenue. Leroy Clark was questioned, lied about his identity and arrested. In his pockets, suspected methamphetamine was found.

Reports/Washington County

• A deputy began an investigation March 25 at Ellsworth Avenue in reference to a storage building being entered. This case remains under investigation.

• On Sunday, a deputy began an investigation in reference to damage at the Lawrence Elementary School. This case remains under investigation.

• Deputies began an investigation Tuesday in Dunham Township in reference to a stolen firearm. This case remains under investigation.

• A deputy began an investigation Tuesday into a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties this was determined to be unfounded.

• On Tuesday, a deputy received a warrant from the Magistrate Court of Wood County, W.Va., while working at the Washington County Jail, for the arrest of Christopher William Browning. The charge out of Wood County was for fleeing from an officer. A charge of being a fugitive from justice was filed on Browning.

• A deputy initiated an investigation on Tuesday in reference to a false alarm made from inside the Washington County Jail. Stephen W. Caltrider was behind housed and upon being moved to another room for a meeting, he placed a call to 911. Multiple officers responded, believing an emergency was taking place inside the facility. Caltrider admitted to making the call stating he didn’t like how he was being treated and wanted out. Stephen W. Caltrider, 31, of Latrobe Street, Parkersburg, was charged with making false alarms.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

• Christopher William Scott Browning, 30, of Reedsville, was arrested for failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, a felony, and fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

• Leroy Junior Clark, 44, of 205 Gibbons Place, Marietta, was arrested for possession of drugs, a felony, and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.

• Nicole Jane Dotson, 33, of 1200 Lockwood St., Belpre, was arrested for probation violation, a felony.

• Anthony Michael Earl, 26, of 1404 19th St., Vienna, was arrested for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.

• Christian Adam Preston, 38, of 111 Sunset Lane, Marietta, was arrested for assault of a peace officer, a felony, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

• Bryanna Michel Roberts Sabation, 34, of 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

• Michelle Marie Frame, 24, of 145 Vickers Road, Marietta, was arrested for theft, a felony.

• Jonathan Ray Sindledecker, 39, of 811 15th St., Parkersburg, was arrested for contempt of court, a felony.

• Nathan Perry Simmons, 45, of 3030 Lost Pavement Road, Parkersburg, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor.
