•On Saturday, a deputy was on patrol when he noticed a vehicle in the ditch on Lancaster Street. The individual driving was not familiar with the area and had backed into the ditch while exiting a driveway. A passenger in the vehicle, Hayley Joe Thomas, was asked if there was anything in the vehicle that should not be, with her stating “my weed.” Thomas surrendered the marijuana and a minor misdemeanor citation was issued to Thomas for possession of marijuana.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

• William Corey Woods, 35, of 150 Camelot Road, Lot 24, Belpre, was arrested for driving under suspension and expired plates, both misdemeanors.

• Andrew Noel Fry, 28, of Charles Street, Newport, was arrested for breaking and entering, assault of a peace officer, parole violation and receiving stolen property, all felonies.

• Chevelle Brianne Sarver, 34, of 814 Warren St., Marietta, was arrested for two counts of breaking and entering and receiving stolen property, all felonies.

• Joel Andrew Johnson, 39, of 814 Warren St., Marietta, was arrested for two counts of breaking and entering and receiving stolen property, all felonies.

• Jennifer Faye Lee, 47, of 76 Herning Lane, Parkersburg, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor.

• Christopher Allen Streight, 33, of 221 S. Sixth St., Marietta, was arrested for breaking and entering and receiving stolen property, both felonies.

• Kaylan Renea Wallace, 29, homeless, was arrested for breaking and entering and receiving stolen property, both felonies.

• Austin William Wright, 30, of Sandhill Road, Lot 22, Marietta, was arrested for breaking and entering, complicity to safecracking, and receiving stolen property, all felonies.

• Ashley Nicole Mayle, 29, of 116 Lincoln Road, Marietta, was arrested for breaking and entering, complicity to safecracking, and receiving stolen property, all felonies.

• Mark Christopher Haynes, 34, of 108 E. Colonial Square, Belpre, was arrested for theft of a firearm, a felony, and possessing drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.

• Jason Homer Malone, 42, of 734 Hazel St., Akron, was arrested for parole violation, a felony.
