¯ A sergeant began an investigation Sunday into a breaking and entering. This case remains under investigation.
The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:
¯ Colton Ryan Balderson, 31, of 17184 Muskingum River Road, Waterford, was arrested for a probation violation and identity fraud, both felonies; and obstructing official business, and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
¯ Carissa Diana Carte, 23, of 48430 Outpost Road, Caldwell, was arrested for complicity to tampering with evidence, a felony.
¯ Marcus Rogers Holloway, 34, of 6787 Ellis Road, Stockport, was arrested for having weapons while under disability, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, both felonies.
¯ Edward Wayne Houk, 19, of 16920 State Route 550, Marietta, was arrested for menacing by stalking and possession of criminal tools, both felonies; and violating a protection order, a misdemeanor.
¯ Ashley Marie Williams, 33, homeless, was arrested for camping in a non-designated area.
¯ Anthony Cameron Williams, 47, homeless, was arrested for camping in a non-designated area
¯ Clinton Dallas Hornbeck, 44, of 1007 Ridge St., Belpre, was arrested for aggravated possession of drugs, and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, both felonies.
¯ Officers responded Sept. 29 to the 800 block of Fourth Street in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Walter McBride was arrested for domestic violence, domestic violence by threat and disrupting public services or taking a phone to prevent the victim from calling for help.
¯ An officer was dispatched to the Shoe Dept., 209 Captain D. Seeley Mia Drive, on Sept. 29 in reference to a theft complaint. Officers made contact with the complainant, and pictures and witness statements were gathered. At this time, the incident remains under further investigation, but a suspect is identified.
¯ A patrolman and the Marietta Fire Department responded to 836 Pike St. in reference to an overdose on Sept. 30. A man was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital with charges pending per BCI results.
¯ Katrina Marie Nolan was placed under arrest Thursday in the 300 block of Franklin Street for a warrant through the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for disorderly conduct.
¯ A traffic complaint in the 100 block of Warner Street was investigated Friday.
¯ A shoplifter complaint was investigated Friday at Walmart. A woman will be summoned into court for theft.
¯ An officer responded Friday to 125 Ward St. in reference to a motor vehicle theft. The officer spoke with the victim, who advised a turquoise 1994 Chevy Cavalier wagon was stolen from the 300 block of Franklin Street. An investigation was initiated for theft of a motor vehicle.
¯ An officer was dispatched Friday to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart, 804 Pike St. Upon arrival, Deidre Murphy Arnett was arrested for theft and criminal trespass. She was also transported to the Washington County Jail for violating her probation through Marietta Municipal Court.
¯ A residential fire occurred Saturday at 419 Maple St. Two patrolmen were first on scene and the Marietta Fire Department was dispatched. The family was not home when the fire started. It appears that the fire may have been started by a dishwasher.
¯ An investigation was held into a theft complaint at Walmart on Saturday. Summons was requested for three women for the theft of $801.02 worth of merchandise.
¯ A woman reported Sunday that her teenage daughters had left their home at 271 Muskingum Drive. The two returned home a few hours later and were counseled.
¯ A patrolman was dispatched Sunday to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint. The suspect was identified and charges of theft will be filed.
¯ Officers received information Saturday on the whereabouts of Colton Balderson, who was known to have warrants for his arrest. Officers went to Putnam Place Apartments and contacted the apartment renter and were given permission to enter. While attempting to arrest Balderson, he resisted arrest. He was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear, as well as new charges for resisting arrest and obstruction.
