¯ Bryan L. Powell, 46, of 1209 Hill Road N #187, Pickerington, was eastbound Sept. 2 on Ohio 550 in Warren Township when his 2011 Dodge Ram traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail end. Powell was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it. He was reportedly under the influence of medications/drugs at the time of the crash.
¯ Rhonda Mangello, 66, of 7501 Hankee Road, Garrettsville, was southbound Sept. 2 on the off ramp from Interstate 77 southbound to Ohio 7 in Marietta Township. Margaret Ann Schrekengost, 81, of 704 Neal St., Parkersburg, was southbound on Ohio 7 in a 2013 Kia Optima. Schrekengost failed to yield the right of way for a red light and was struck by Mangello’s 2017 Chevrolet Colorado. Schrekengost was cited for not stopping at a clearly marked stop line.
¯ Lisa Jill Collins, 55, of 54 Rockland Drive, Williamstown, and Whitney Jean Doan, 18, of 6510 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, were northbound Sept. 4 on Ohio 7 in Newport Township. Doan failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead in her 2019 Ford Fusion and struck Collins’ 2018 Ford Fusion. Doan was cited for not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead.
¯ Anna Elizabeth Gaitree Oster, 22, of 63057 Ridgewood Drive, Cambridge, was eastbound Sept. 5 on Ohio 550 in Barlow Township. Her 2007 Toyota Corolla went off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. Oster was treated at the scene by Barlow Fire Department Squad for possible injuries. She was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it.
¯ Dakota L. Matheny, 26, of 8295 Elizabeth Pike, Elizabeth, was westbound Sept. 5 on U.S. 50 in Belpre Township. Donald R. Holmes, 70, of 1307 Roselawn Ave., Belpre, was southbound on Ohio 555, attempting to make a left turn onto U.S. 50 eastbound. Holmes failed to yield the right of way in his 2020 Buick Encore and was struck by Matheny’s 2010 Dodge Ram. Matheny, a female passenger and two juvenile passengers were taken by Little Hocking VFD Squad to Marietta Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries. Holmes was taken by Little Hocking Squad to WVU Camden Clark Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. No citations were issued.
¯ Russell D. Oberdier, 57, of 1283 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, was stopped Sept. 6 at a stop sign at the intersection of Township Road 70 and Ohio 550 in Fairfield Township. Ralph Green, 83, of 1740 Hickman Road, Waterford, attempted to turn left onto Township Road 70 in his 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Oberdier attempted to turn left onto Ohio 550 in his 2005 Dodge Ram and struck Green’s vehicle. Oberdier was cited for not yielding the right-of-way to a vehicle during the time the driver is moving across the intersection.
¯ Roberta Pethel, 35, of 47759 State Route 7, New Matamoras, was southbound Sept. 6 on Ohio 26 in Lawrence Township when her 2007 Chevrolet Silverado crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. She was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it.
¯ Jessica D. Richie, 52, of 450 N. Manchester Drive, Chicago Heights, Ill., was northbound Sept. 6 on Ohio 555 in Union Township. She failed to negotiate a curve and overturned her 2010 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe. Richie was taken by M&M Squad to OhioHealth O’Bleness in Athens with suspected serious injuries. She was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it.
¯ Amy Elizabeth Lowther, 36, of 1421 Lancaster St. Apt. 10G, Marietta, was eastbound Sept. 8 on Ohio 676 in Warren Township. Her 2002 Honda Accord went off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. She was cited for not driving within a single lane of traffic.
¯ Erika D. Davis, 27, of 108 Brice St., St. Marys, was stopped Sept. 8 at the intersection of Ohio 807 and Ohio 7 in Newport Township. Dylan E. Adams, 28, of 870 Newells Run Road, Newport, was southbound on Ohio 7. Davis attempted to turn southbound on Ohio 7 in her 2019 Toyota RAV4, but failed to yield at a stop sign and struck Adams’ 2004 Honda Pilot. Davis was cited for not yielding the right-of-way to a vehicle during the time the driver is moving across the intersection.
