¯ A deputy was dispatched Oct. 12 to Mount Tom Road, Marietta Township, to a theft investigation. After completing the investigation, it was determined that Charles E. Day Jr., 830 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, would be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of disorderly conduct.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Wednesday to 38175 State Route 7, Par Mar #82, Newport Township. Contact was made with store personnel who reported three individuals were in the store on Oct. 12, late evening hours, and stole multiple items. Surveillance video confirmed the information related to the deputy.

After completing the investigation, it was determined that charges for theft would be filed on Velinda Kay Mantz, 43, of 265 McCormick Hill Road, New Matamoras, Douglas Allen Hendershot, 49, of 625 Greene St., Newport, and Domanick Joseph Haught, 28, of 100 Alderman St., and they will be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Wednesday into a damaging complaint in Marietta Township. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Wednesday to Ellsworth Avenue, Marietta Township, to a report of Brandon Longfellow yelling at an individual, Madison Martin. After conducting the investigation, it was determined that a summons would be requested for Longfellow, 32, and Martin, 22, on charges of disorderly conduct.

¯ A deputy responded Thursday to Tick Ridge Road in reference to cattle being out and damage done to property on Oct. 10. The deputy responded to the residence on Tick Ridge Road on Oct. 5 regarding cattle belonging to Paul Sutton, 2096 Tick Ridge Road, being out of their fence and on the neighboring property doing damage. It was reported that this was an ongoing problem.

Sutton was advised of the damage and a work plan was created to fix the problem. As of Thursday, the problem had not been fixed, therefore a summons is being requested for Sutton on a charge of animals at large.

¯ A deputy patrolled Fourth Street at Lee Street, Blennerhassett Township, on Friday for a Charles Clinton Carpenter, wanted on numerous warrants, who had reportedly been seen in the area. A male matching the description was seen walking and he advised the deputy that he was doing some work there and his name was Jeff Brodwell. He did not have his wallet and was unsure of his Social Security Number. The deputy obtained a recent jail photograph of Carpenter and confirmed that the subject was Charles Carpenter.

After a pat down, a post it note was found on Carpenter containing suspected methamphetamine. Carpenter was placed under arrest on the warrants and was charged with possession of drugs and falsification.

¯ A deputy issued citations Friday through Sunday for speed violations to: Molly A Davidson, 21, of 7030 Pine Tree Ave., NE, Canton, 74 mph in a 60 mph zone; Anne Shirley Nebeker, 28, of 279 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, 80 mph in a 60 mph zone; Daniel L. Fannin, 60, of 35665 Moore Road, Union Furnace, 76 mph in a 60 mph zone; Charles Edward Stanford Jr., 35, of 4095 Victory Pkwy. Apt 3, Cincinnati, 75 mph in a 60 mph zone, and failure to reinstate license; Devon Caleb Bowling, 23, of 138 Hamline Ave., Zanesville, 75 mph in a 60 mph zone; Chad Lee Brookover, 39, of 250 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, 80 mph in a 55 mph zone; and Melissa Dawn Lewandowski, 41, of 301 Russell St., Pittsburgh, Pa., 79 mph in a 60 mph zone.

¯ A deputy was patrolling Sunday and observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. A radar readout verified the driver going 45 mph in a 35 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, driven by Chelsey Boling. Boling advised she had no driver’s license, which was confirmed.

Chelsey L. Boling, 18, of 712 Washington Square, Marietta, was issued a citation for speed, and driving without an operator’s license. After completing the investigation, it was determined that a summons would be requested for Boling on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and underage possession of alcohol.

¯ Akeem Junior Gholson, 34, of Marietta, was arrested fir assault, a misdemeanor.
