Vacation Bible School is on!

“Getting S’more of Jesus,” Vacation Bible School at Lowell Christian Church, July 16 to 19, 6 to 8 p.m.; for children preschool age through going into sixth grade. Grab your gear for the ultimate weekend getaway. At Camp Out VBS, kids trek through an outdoor adventure minus bug spray and lack of sleep! Kindle friendships and help kids discover that Jesus is the light of the world.

Vacation Bible School, July 16 to 20, 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening, at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta; ages 4 through fifth grade.

“Mighty Fortress,” theme of Vacation Bible School at Newport United Methodist Church, from July 16 to 20. With this year’s theme “Mighty Fortress” your children will learn – In Jesus the Victory is Won! At Mighty Fortress, kids learn that God is their refuge and strength. Friends may fail them. They may not ace their test or make the team, but God promises to be their rock and their salvation–their fortress and sure defense. So raise your banner! In Jesus, the victory is won! The VBS will be from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. and will include a Bible story, games, snack, music and fun.

“Hero Control,” Vacation Bible School, at Parr Hill Community Church, located at Ohio 7, Beavertown; from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 17 to 22. A program will be held at 6 p.m. concluding the weeks’ activities. A cookout will also be held following the program. Children of all ages are welcome. Activities inlcude Bible lessons, games, crafts, music and videos. Snacks will be served.

“Babylon: Daniel’s Courage In Captivity,” theme of Vacation Bible School, Wednesday, July 19, through Friday, July 21, at Reno Memorial Christian Church, Ohio 7, Reno; 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.

“The Life of Joseph and His Coat of Many Colors” will be the theme of Vacation Bible School at Norwood United Methodist Church from Sunday, July 23, through Thursday, July 27. It will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for ages 3 to high school. Activities include crafts, stories, games, and snacks. Vacation Bible School Sunday, July 23, at Gilman United Methodist Church. On this Sunday, the children and youth will share songs and highlights from Vacation Bible School: “Rome — Paul and the Underground.”

“Faithraft,” theme of Vacation Bible School at Waverly Church of Christ, corner of 2nd and Corbitt streets, Waverly, W.Va., July 24 to 28, 9:30 to 11:45 a.m.

“Proof Pirates Adventures,” theme of Vacation Bible School at Depot Park in Belpre on July 29. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. for preschool to grade 5 children. The VBS will run from 1 to 5 p.m with a family picnic following. The Belpre Heights and St. Mark’s United Methodist churches are hosting this one day VBS.

“Operation Arctic,” theme of Vacation Bible School at Hope Bible Church — Get ready for your coolest VBS ever! Grab your parkas and snow boots and get ready to explore the super-cool Arctic wonderland at Hope Bible Church Aug. 1 to 4, this summer at Vacation Bible School. You’ll see a daily drama with missing treasure, goofy bad guys, unexpected visitors, and plenty of action, at 251 Sandhill Road, Marietta. On your thrilling expedition, you’ll uncover the coolest book on the planet — the Bible, have daily Klondike Snacks, play Glacier Gap Games, make Cool Crafts, and sing Top of the World Tunes. Get ready to plunge into this cold world, and God’s wonderful Word, every evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Transportation can be provided if needed. All events and activities are free.
