Janet B. Lewis
Janet B. Lewis, 93, of Marietta, Ohio passed away on Dec. 27, 2018 at Harmar Place. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on June 7, 1925. She married Lyle H. Lewis in 1948, raising two sons, Kreis L. Lewis of Davidson, N.C. and Keith K. Lewis of Florida.
Janet worked as a hairdresser for many years and then as a House Mother at Marietta College for Tri-Sigma Sorority for 16 years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star Marietta Chapter #59, in the Women’s Auxiliary for both the VFW and American Legion and a member of the Marietta Senior Singers.
In addition to her sons, she will be greatly missed by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Lewis, three granddaughters, Victoria (and Erik) Kikut, Jill (and Bobby) Malchiodi, and Kathryn (and Jimmy) Walk; as well as seven great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with a service to be held at 5:15 p.m. at the funeral home with Patricia Vargas officiating. Interment will take place 11 a.m. Jan. 3 at Rock Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Bellaire, OH with Rev. David Demarest officiating.
