Patricia “Patsy” Noe Brown
Patricia “Patsy” Noe Brown went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. She was born April 15, 1935 to Bernard and Lois Aldena Hall Noe. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Dale Brown whom she married in 1956. Patsy was a 1953 graduate of Marietta High School and worked in retail in her younger years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Marietta and the Adult Fellowship Sunday School Class. She had also participated in the church’s Caring Touch Program. She was a member of the Washington County Historical Society, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #59, Marietta Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and a supporter of the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley. She was a charter member and one of the original directors who found a home in a train car for the Children’s Toy and Doll Museum. She was a doll collector and enjoyed going to doll shows and auctions. She also enjoyed doing genealogy. With the help of her husband Dale as the photographer and Patsy as the historical researcher, they developed a slide program of Washington County homes and historical sites called Yesteryear in Washington County. The slide program was entered in the National DAR slide contest and won national honors. Patsy’s most joyful times were taking trips and going to lunch and shopping with her daughter, Rebecca and sister, Susan.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Brown Wild and her husband, Dr. Alan Wild of Huntington, WV; a sister, Susan “Susie” Addison and her husband James Addison of Marietta, OH; nephew, James Slate of Parkersburg, WV; brother and sister-in-law Ellis and Shirley Brown of Proctorville, OH and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved her church family and enjoyed their visits.
Due to Covid19 concerns, a private family only service will be held with burial to follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. A memorial service for the public will be held at a later date.
