Evan Henry Lightfritz Jr.

Evan Henry Lightfritz Jr., 67, Whipple, OH, passed away peacefully in Newport, OH, surrounded by family Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Born in Canton, OH, on August 17, 1956, he was a son of the late Evan Henry Lightfritz Sr. and Arlene Mae Thrasher Lightfritz. He was the oldest of eight children. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a hard worker.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Lightfritz, Celestia Lightfritz (Danny Friend) Anna (Doug) Berga, Ehtel West (Elom Maine); one brothers, Brady Lightfritz; nieces, Amanda Leighton, Jessica (Sonny) Looney, Ethel (Andy Luke) West, Jr., Arlene West; nephew, James (Lori) Berga; great-nephews, Bryce Christman, James D. Berga, Aden Karcher, and Bently West-Shuck; and great-nieces, Isabella West-Shuck, Aver Luke, Macie Berga, and McKinlee Berga. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Evan Brady Lightfritz, sister, Arlene Lightfritz, and nephew, Phillip D. West, Jr. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their care.

Funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2023, at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
