Allen L. Williams

Allen L. Williams, 84, of Marietta, OH, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Harmar Place. He was born February 29, 1940 in Kingsport, TN, to the late Graydon L. and Virginia Edwards Williams. Allen graduated from Marietta High School in 1958 and worked for Pioneer Pipe with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #168. He later drove a bus for Pioneer Trails taking Marietta College Athletic teams to various events and loved following Marietta College Athletics and The Ohio State Buckeyes especially football. He was a member of Gilman Avenue United Methodist Church serving as a trustee and on the financial committee. He was a member of Harmar Lodge #390 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Nemesis Shriners, Marietta Shrine Club, Fellowship Degree Marietta Moose Lodge #1823, coached Marietta Bantam League and American Legion Baseball. He is survived by his wife, Lona Kirk Williams whom he was married to for 67 years, sons Ed Williams (Patty) and their children Allie (Trey) and Brett (Ryan), John Williams, Scott Williams (Jeanette) and children Emily (Derek), Ashley, Kyle (Staci) and Sarah Jean (Paul), Jeff Williams (Robin) and children Cody (Molly), Seth (Heather), Adam and Graydon and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, January 27, 2025 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH, with Pastor Cheryl Arnold officiating, burial to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
