Merle “Tommy” Thomas Cline

Merle “Tommy” Thomas Cline, 78, of Cornerville Rd., Reno, OH, died Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his residence. He was born April 12, 1946, in Marietta, OH, to the late Stanley Joseph and Hilda Fay Casto Cline. Tom graduated from Marietta High School in 1964 and worked 45 years for Thermo Fisher and later Farrar Scientific after he retired for a few years. He was a jockey, liked to hunt and later in life enjoyed feeding the deer and tinkering with steam engines. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Brookover Cline, son Joe Cline, daughter Kathy Bristol (Jason), step son Joshua Shaner (Marelle), 5 grandchildren Olivia Payton (Koda), Zachary Bristol (Olivia), Lexi, Sophia and Noelle, great grandson Jasper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by twin brother Burell and brothers Sharill and John Cline. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, January 27, 2025 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH, with Gordie Deere officiating, burial to follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
