Roger F. Earley Sr.

Roger F. Earley Sr., 91, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, with his children by his side.

He was born October 22, 1933, to Jessie and Harold Earley. On April 23, 1954, he married Jo-Ann Holdren in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. A man of faith, Roger was Presbyterian by belief and lived a life devoted to family, community, and service.

Roger was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Germany from 1952 to 1954. After his military service, he worked in construction and later at Ormet, dedicating over 30 years to the Pot Room. He also served as a Township Trustee and took great pride in working on his farm, which he dearly loved. In retirement, Roger served on the Community Action, FLEDA, New Matamoras Food Pantry and was a proud Mason.

He is survived by his sister Twila and brothers Dave, John, and Jim; his children, Roger Jr. (Sue) Earley, Beth (John) Snodgrass, Joe (Anita) Earley, Chris (Christie) Earley, and daughter-in-law Jaynie Earley; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jo-Ann; his parents; his son Mark; sisters Margie, Norma, Ethel, Mary, Beulah, Ruby, and Phyllis; and brothers Harold, Paul, Floyd, and Richard.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 Front Street, New Matamoras, Ohio.
