Drinking? Don’t drive this Fourth
The Independence Day holiday coming up could be a long weekend for some fortunate workers.
With July 4 arriving next Tuesday, folks getting Monday off as well as the Fourth of July can celebrate their freedom over a four-day weekend.
Ironically, though, the holiday could end up costing some who celebrate their freedom. That’s why readers are reminded to designate a driver if festivities involve alcohol.
Some reports state the average cost of a DUI is as high as $10,000, not to mention loss of freedom and your vehicle.
That’s something to remember as family and friends gather for picnics and barbecues this weekend.
“This Fourth of July, don’t risk losing your life or your independence by drinking and driving,” one expert states. “Help make everyone’s holiday … safer by driving sober.”
