Wait! Those building projects can wait a while

It is no surprise to read that labor and materials are in short supply mainly because demand it so strong from hurricane-stricken regions in Texas and Florida. That’s understandable as those areas begin the monumental task of rebuilding. Damage estimates are running in the billions.

So it makes sense that the law of supply and demand is in play. The ripple effect surely will be felt across the nation, including the Mid-Ohio Valley.

So, it should make sense that some local projects may just be too expensive to tackle. Here is our suggestion: Just say no.

Wait until the demand for materials subsides. Your calendar for a project may be wrecked, but at least you are avoiding paying a premium price for what normally would be a fraction under normal circumstances. Don’t be in such a rush to get the job done. Other people might have a greater need for drywall or roof repairs.

Now is a good time to be an informed consumer and a considerate one, too.
