Kudos to Fort Frye staff and students
They cheer in the stands at athletic events. They give to fundraising efforts. They pass levies to fund operations and special projects. The communities that make up the Fort Frye Local school district are constantly giving to the schools and the students.
This week, the tables were turned and the students– and teachers — made sure to give back.
Fort Frye High School students, from seventh-graders to seniors, spent the day Monday mulching and planting in Dodge Park, cleaning the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department and working on many more worthwhile projects. They painted, they cleaned, they sweated, and they said they were glad to do it.
“It’s good to give back to the others that help,” said freshman Jacob Lang.
With the willing spirit those students had, we’re sure that one day of giving back will extend into many more.
We’re glad that those at the school recognize that importance of community service and are setting an example for the students to follow for years to come..
