Veteran fighting battle over high rents

Rent prices in the Mid-Ohio Valley are horrible right now. Everyone is raising their prices to get the oil and gas people coming from out of state and the locals who need places to rent can not afford. We have gone to agencies who offer assistance in finding a place but they are having the same problem all rent is way to high. My husband is a disabled veteran with 20+ years of service still fighting for disability benefits, due to his PTSD and other health issues we cannot live in an apartment, which does narrow how and where we can live and we have to be moved out from where we are by the 16th of November and there is nothing out there. Our daughter will graduate in the spring of 2015 and wishes to stay where she is so she will be staying with a friend or family member who has room for her so she can. My husband and myself and his companion pets will most likely spend this winter in our car. No we are not looking for pity, we just think the MOV needs to realize if people could pay these outlandish rental fees they could purchase a home cheaper then what your asking. Not everyone is trouble or bad renters they just need a hand up out of the hole they have fallen into.

Another Vet and family still fighting a war but this one is here on our home soil!
